The Center for the Development of Executive Functioning at Life Solutions of Dallas-Fort Worth

Our mission is to help children, teens, and adults develop improved executive functioning skills.  We provide a full line of services and solutions to help individuals and families improve their time management, organization, response inhibition, sustained attention and related skills.

Ours is the first center in North Texas to provide a full-range of research-based cognitive behavior therapy, coaching, and treatment strategies to address the executive functioning needs of children, teens, adults, and families struggling with executive function weaknesses.

We help individuals and families utilize their strengths and proven tools to help address struggles with procrastination, impulsivity, time mismanagement, organizational chaos, and other executive functioning challenges.

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a viable psychosocial intervention to address weak executive functioning associated with ADHD.   We are proud to offer this research based approach!

  • Student Success! is a structured cognitive-behavioral approach designed to help students of all ages ”learn how to learn”  and ultimately learn how to solve everyday challenges.

  • STOP-THINK-GO for Impulsivity is a structured cognitive-behavioral approach designed to help 1st – 5th grade students improve their ability to  improve impulse control in multiple situations including at home, in the classroom, on the playground, and at parties.

  • Parenting Success! provides families a research proven set of skills that can lead to less stress and more harmony within the family.

  • Educational Consultation helps parents and educators collaborate to provide research-proven and empowering school services and solutions for students with disorders often associated with executive functioning challenges.

  • Counseling helps families, children, adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ineffective coping skills, poor stress management, social skill problems, and poor self-esteem.

  • Collaboration with Medical Professionals ensures a synergistic and empowering approach to ongoing medical care of symptoms as suggested by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

  • Don’t have a Medical Professional?  We now have a general, child, and adolescent Psychiatrist on our team who can help with your family’s medical needs.

We take a strengths-based approach to everything we do.  Using research-proven methods to identify and manage specific needs, we emphasize the often overlooked positive mirror strengths seen in specific challenges.  For example, the “flip-side” of your teen’s distractibility is creativity, the strength associated with your child’s impulsivity is curiosity, and your stubbornness can easily be reframed as determination.   We strive to use these strengths to help address unique and individual needs.
