Collaborative Problem Solving with Your Teen or Tween

“Collaborative Problem Solving” is a process that helps parents and teens or tweens easily solve problems at home while maintaining their relationship.  This process works especially well with the “determined” teen:  it allows her to maintain control as she learns to negotiate and solve problems.  

This process can be used to solve any problem.  In this article, Dr. Davenport outlines how to talk with your determined tween or teen about getting ready to go to school in a timely manner in the mornings.
