2017 Summer Student Success Groups


Student-Success-300x282More than a “study skills class,” Student Success helps your student use active and research-based approaches to  improve executive functions and associated learning difficulties.  During each session, your student will learn how to use structured problem-solving to begin to take control of his or her future! 

During 8 sessions, intermediate, middle school and  high school students will learn ways to improve these important skills for success: Time Management, Overcoming Procrastination, Organization, Active Reading, Written Expression, Active Note-Taking, Memory Tips and Tricks, Test Prep, Test Taking , Problem Solving, & Decision-Making.

  • Parents are invited to attend sessions 1 and 8.

  • Each student is provided a reference notebook.

  • Students and parents can access exclusive reference materials and downloadable tools on-line.

For Intermediate & Middle School students, choose one of these three options:

June 5 – 21, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 10:00 – 11:30 AM

July 10 – 26, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 10:00 – 11:30 AM

July 31 – August 16, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 10:00 – 11:30 AM

For High School students, choose one of these three options:

June 5 – 21, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 1:00 – 2:30 PM

July 10 – 26, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 1:00 – 2:30 PM

July 31 – August 16, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 1:00 – 2:30 PM

Session Six– Active Writing Skills

  • How to Not Forget

Session Eight – Problem Solving and Decision Making

  • Celebrate your improved skills!

  • Learn how to use all you have learned to solve problems and make good decisions in the future.

  • Parents are invited to this session so they can help their student utilize these skills.
