Parenting Success! for Parents of Children (ages 4-12)

Parenting Success!  is not a “parenting class.”  It is a structured process based on research-proven cognitive-behavior therapy:

  • During each session, parents learn a specific behavior management skill.
  • During the time between sessions, parents practice that specific skill.
  • At the beginning of each session, successes are celebrated and problems are solved.

Parents of children (ages 4-12)  participate in 8 sessions:

Session 1:

Understanding Child Behavior

Principles of Behavior Management

Developing Positive Attending Skills

Session 2:

Giving More Effective Commands

Session 3:

Establishing a Home Token System

Session 4:

Economics 101 Using Response-Cost

Session 5:

The Art of Time Out (Non-Super Nanny Version)

Session 6:

Extending Time-Out to Other Misbehavior

Session 7:

Managing Children’s Behavior in Public

Session 8:

Planning for Future Behavior Problems
