Parenting Success!

The overarching goal of Parenting Success is to provide  you a research proven set of skills tailored to lead to less stress and more harmony within your unique family.

Parenting Success is designed for families whose children or teens are struggling with the following problems.

  • Trouble starting and completing actions requested by a parent within a reasonable amount of time.

  • Difficulty sustaining attention to parent requests until the task has been completed.

  • Trouble consistently following previously taught rules of conduct.

The primary objectives of Parenting Success include:

  • Increasing parental knowledge and understanding of the causes of  compliant and non-compliant behavior.

  • Refining parents’ skills at addressing their individual child or teen’s unique behavior and executive functioning problems.

  • Improving child or teen compliance with parent directives and rules.

  • Advancing child, teen, and parent relationships.

Parenting Success is individualized to meet the unique needs of each family.

Parenting Success is not a “parenting class” or curriculum.  It is individualized cognitive-behavioral therapy designed to meet the unique needs of each family.

  • Specific behavioral and discipline needs are identified for the child/teen and family.

  • Causes and effects of behavioral challenges are identified.

  • Parents learn how to apply specific behavior management skills to meet their unique needs.

  • Between sessions, parents practice skills.

  • At the beginning of the next session, successes and challenges are discussed and problems are solved to meet the unique, individual needs of families and children.

Parenting Success is based on over 35 years of research of what works for all types of struggling families.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends these behavior management tools in their articles about behavior therapy techniques that work and research-based parent training.

We are proud to offer parents these research-proven tools to help them understand the causes of challenging child behavior, take systematic steps to reduce it, and reinforce positive change.
